PADI Speciality Courses

Scuba diving is a way to explore the underwater world in new and different ways. So continuing your dive education through PADI Speciality Dive Courses increases opportunities for discovery and introduces you to new and exciting ways to experience the underwater world. Keep Diving and you can sign up for advanced training immediately after earning your Open Water Diver certification.

Underwater Navigator (2 Day)

Be the scuba diver everyone wants to follow because you know where you are and where you’re going. The PADI Underwater Navigator course fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you to more accurately use your compass underwater. If you like challenges with big rewards, take this course and have fun finding your way.

If you’re a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver who is at least 10 years old, you can enroll in the PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course.

Underwater Videographer (1 Day)

Video is the best way to share the sights, sounds, motion and dynamics of the underwater world. If you want to get the best clips and also learn to edit your scuba diving stories to share with friends through social media, then the PADI Underwater Videographer Specialty course is for you. Learn to create underwater videos that are interesting, entertaining and worth watching again and again.

If you’re a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver who is at least 10 years old, you can enroll in the PADI Underwater Videographer Specialty course.

Dive Against Debris (1 Day)

Make a difference on every dive by activating your inner citizen scientist. During the Dive Against Debris® Diver Specialty course, you’ll learn how ocean plastic and trash cleanups not only keep your local dive sites healthier, but also how to contribute to a global database that documents our planet’s marine debris problem. Under the guidance of your instructor, you’ll participate in a Dive Against Debris survey at our very own Adopt the Blue dive site and turn your passion for the underwater world into real action. As the 2nd established PADI Eco Centre in Cyprus we are very passionate about this course.

PADI AWARE (1 Day)

Make a difference for yourself and others by learning and applying tips to save the ocean. The PADI AWARE Specialty course equips you with tangible actions and opportunities to bring about positive ocean change. Supported by PADI eLearning®, this course dismantles the barriers between diving and conservation, making responsible marine conservation accessible to all.

The course is available for all levels of divers, including Discover Scuba. As the 2nd PADI Eco Center on Cyprus we are very passionate about this course. As such, we are happy to offer this as an Eco-Option for any other Dive Course or Trip for a discounted price of only €30. Contact us for further information.

A portion of the proceeds from every PADI AWARE Foundation™ course funds AWARE’s critical conservation work to remove marine debris, secure protection for sharks & rays, expand marine protected areas, and support local grantees.

Emergency O2 Provider (½ day)

Knowing how and when to administer emergency oxygen is a valuable skill to have in a dive emergency. PADI® Emergency Oxygen Provider prepares you to offer aid and teaches you to recognize scuba diving injuries and illnesses requiring emergency oxygen. This is a dry course so is perfect to do in conjunction with the Nitrox Diver or Rescue Diver Courses

Sidemount (2 Days)

As it is the norm in wreck and cave diving, Sidemount equipment configuration is now being discovered by more and more divers. The simple, pleasant and weightless dive without the burden of the diving equipment on the back – who wouldn’t want to experience this? To make these kind of dives safely, it requires special training. You will learn everything about the background, history, benefits and equipment of sidemount diving. In practice, you will learn how to configure your equipment and manage it in the water, recognizing that bouyancy and movement brings you a new diving experience

Peak Performance Buoyancy Course (1 Day)

Excellent buoyancy control is what defines skilled scuba divers. You’ve seen them underwater. They glide effortlessly, use less air and ascend, descend or hover almost as if by thought. They more easily observe aquatic life without disturbing their surroundings. You can achieve this, too. The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course improves the buoyancy skills you learned as a new diver and elevates them to the next level. PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers or higher, who are at least 10 years old, are eligible to take the Peak Performance Buoyancy course.

Zenobia Distinctive Speciality (1 days)

The Zenobia is one of the best wreck dives  in the world with an abundance of marine life. Why not undertake a Cyprus exclusive distinctive speciality of the Wreck. In this course you will cover the history of wreck and its sinking. You will then plan, organize and conduct a safe and enjoyable dives on the Zenobia including emergency procedures

NITROX / Enriched Air Diver Course (½ day) 

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba course. Why? Because scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then don’t hesitate to become an enriched air diver.

Wreck Diver (2 Day Course)

Whether purpose-sunk as an artificial reef for scuba divers, or lost as the result of an accident, wrecks are fascinating windows to the past. Ships, airplanes and even cars are fascinating to explore and usually teem with aquatic life. Each wreck dive offers a chance for discovery, potentially unlocking a mystery or spying something others have missed. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course is popular because it offers rewarding adventures while observing responsible wreck diving practices. If you’re at least 15 years old and have earned a PADI Adventure Diver certification or higher, you can enroll in the Wreck Diver Specialty course.

Self Reliant (2 days)

Keen photographer? Don’t have a dive buddy that matches your dive style? Thinking about progressing to Tec diving? Well if you have answered yes to any of these questions then the PADI Self Reliant Course will help you to plan and execute solo dives in safety.

Deep Dive Course (2 days)

The lure of the deep. There’s something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites while scuba diving. Sometimes it’s a wreck that attracts you below 18 meters/60 feet, and on wall dives it may be a giant fan or sponge. Whatever it is, to scuba dive with confidence at depths down to 40 meters/130 feet, you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course. If you’ve earned the PADI Adventure Diver rating or higher, and you’re at least 15 years old, you can enroll in the Deep Diver course.

Underwater Photography (1 day)

PADI Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and with so many underwater cameras to choose from, it has become easier and more fun than ever to capture images of your underwater scuba adventures. Because underwater photography is also popular with snorkelers, there is an option for avid snorkelers and skin divers to complete the course.
