Yes. If you want 1-1 teaching or mentoring with a dedicated instructor then this is something we can provide. Also if you want to just have an experience with your friends, partner or family then we will be happy to arrange. Where possible we will provide pick up service to people within the local vicinity of the dive shop or on the way to a dive site. Yes this is no problem. Like with our PADI divers we will request that you share your license is so that we can find out what your dive limits are. Then we can go diving. Yes this is no problem. For those looking just to experience the magic of the underwater world we can offer the Discover Scuba Diving Package. Whilst for those looking to undertake diving more regularly we would recommend the PADI Open Water License which certifies you to 18m or the PADI Scuba Diver Package that certifies you to 12m. Click the links to find out more. Yes. We offer internships for our Dive Master course as well as for certified Dive Masters looking to gain experience and mentoring in preparation for their IDC. Diving with Nitrox/Enriched Air/EANx is a beneficial for divers of all levels. By reducing the amount of nitrogen absorbed by your body it allows for longer bottom times. This is particularly useful for our deeper dives such as the Zenobia or Jubilee Shoals. Please click the link to learn more about out Nitrox Speciality course where we teach you how to use Nitrox safely This is dependent on your level of certification and experience, although if you dream of diving on one of the best wreck diving sites in the world or achieving the PADI Zenobia Wreck Distinctive Speciality then we will help you achieve this safely whatever your current level. Please contact our team and we can advise further. There are a number of Wreck dives in the Cyprus. The most famous is the Zenobia which routinely features in the top 10 wreck dives in the world. The other main wrecks in the area that we routinely visit include the MV Elpida (Larnaca), the Costandis and the Lady Thetis (Limmasol). Other wrecks in the area include the Alexandria, HMS Cricket, the Laboe, Vera-K, Achilleas, Edro III, Liberty, Nemisis II & Kyrenia This is all down to personal preference, so please reach out and tell us what you enjoy and we will try and advise accordingly. Our Dive Centre Manager’s favourite sites include the Zenobia, Cynthiana Beach, Jubilee Shoals and Tunnels and Caves. Yes. We occasionally spot an octopus at our dive site in Cynthiana Beach. Although it is normally shy a likes to stay in its hole. There are a few at other sites too however they are well camoflaged Yes. We Spot turtles routinely at Green Bay Dive Site and Jubilee Shoals. Yes there are a number of shark species in Cyprus including: Mako, Thresher, Spinner, Sandbar, Tope, Big Nosed and Angel Shark species. Sightings are rare including Blue Pointed Mako Sharks were spotted off the Zenobia in 2021 and off Limassol in 2020. These sharks are usually harmless and are in Cyprus waters only to breed and not to feed. The last recorded shark attack was in September 1901 so the risk of encountering such a dire situation in Cyprus’s waters is extremely low From December through to May water temperatures are below 20C, reaching as low as 16C/17C in February. By June water temperatures have reached above 25/26C and maintain this temperature until November. Yes, diving can be conducted all year round. In the winter months marine life changes with octopus, squid, cuttlefish and masses of plankton moving into shallower water. Please be mindful that in the winter the water temperature is between 16C-20C. Therefore a thick wetsuit, hood or dry or semi-dry suit is advised.

As the 2nd Dive Shop in Cyprus to be certified as PADI Eco Centre we strive to to safeguard the splendour and diversity of the marine environment. At Cyprus Diving Adventures, we are dedicated to nurturing the delicate marine ecosystems through sustainable practices and responsible initiatives by taking the PADI Save the Ocean Pledge.
Protecting the Marine Environment
We demonstrate our commitment by actively participating in the PADI Aware Adopt the Blue Program. We have adopted two dive sites (Cynthiana East and West) that we regularly dive at, monitor and undertake ocean clean ups so please let us know if you want to participate in one. We report our clean up activities with the PADI Dive Against Debris and Green Fins initiatives.
Providing Education
For all our beginner courses we offer a discounted eco option to help new divers understand the importance of protecting the marine environment whilst earning an additional PADI qualification. For certified divers we offer PADI environmental Specialities including Underwater Naturalist, Fish Identification and PADI AWARE Dive against Debris. Please contact us if you want to.
Enhancing Diver Ability – Code of Conduct
We all abide by safety protocols to have a fun dive, but at Cyprus Diving adventures we also follow protocols to help you protect the marine environment both on your current dive as well as future dives. As members of the Green Fins initiative we promote their Code of Conduct. Remember, we’ve got a “hands-off” policy down there – no underwater high-fives or fishy handshakes! And no feeding the fish, they’re on a diet! We only wear gloves during cold water or wreck dives. Leaving trash around is a big no-no, even cigarettes! No paparazzi strobe lights for our underwater celebrities, they need their beauty sleep! And please, no poking or prodding marine life with muck sticks – they’re not into it! Stay buoyant like a boss and steer clear of the bottom so not to kick up sediment. As you may have guessed we don’t support spearfishing, as we want more fish for us to see! Listen to the briefings and make sure you do your safety checks before getting in the water. Remember if you get separated from the group, search for for 1minute before ascending – they will do the same so you will be reunited soon. And, of course, always wear your regulator and keep your mask on – until you are out of the water or on the boat – we’re stylish till the very end! If you are going to use sun protection then please remember this HAS to be bee reef safe. Remember, we’re all about fun, so we will provide mentoring (underwater and in debriefings) on how to improve, but mess with the rules, and we’ll show you the exit.
