TDI Courses
TDI Advanced Nitrox
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 percent within your current certification level to a maximum depth of 40 metres during dives that do not require staged decompression. TDI Advanced Nitrox is also a must for SCR or CCR divers.
How do I begin?
You start with the training materials. We will provide you with a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver online code so you can do all your studying at home before you come to Cyprus.
What's in the course?
TDI Advanced Nitrox picks up where TDI Nitrox leaves off and offers a more in-depth look at diving with nitrox including:
Physics and physiology relating to diving with gas mixes containing more than 40% oxygen
Gas planning, dive tables, dive computers, oxygen limitations, nitrogen limitations
Equipment considerations, cylinder labelling, analysing Nitrox mixtures, gas blending procedures, and oxygen service ratings for using gases with more than 40% oxygen
How long does it take?
The TDI Advanced Nitrox course takes 2 days.
What qualifications do I need?
A Nitrox certification or equivalent is the prerequisite plus 25 dives
The minimum age of enrolment on this programme is 15yrs.
You will need to fill out a self certification medical statement. If you have any medical conditions you think may prevent you from scuba diving please feel free to contact usand we will try to be of assistance.
What's next?
Why not do the TDI Decompression Procedures course at the same time?
TDI Decompression Procedures
The TDI Decompression Procedures Course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45 metres/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels.

What's in the course?
Building on the knowledge you gained in the TDI Advanced Nitrox course, the TDI Decompression procedures course covers:-
Decompression dive planning including:
Decompression diving procedures
Proper trim, buoyancy and finning techniques
Emergency procedures (equipment failures, catastrophic gas loss, omitted decompression, navigational errors, etc.)
Equipment considerations, cylinder labelling, analysing Nitrox mixtures, and gas blending procedures
