PADI Advanced Open Water Course

The PADI Advanced Open Water course is the next certification level from the Open Water course and consists of 5 different dives. It is a very popular course in Cyprus due to the diving available here and dives are to a maximum depth of 30m.

You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives which are Deep and Underwater Navigation, and you choose the other three.

During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using visual landmarks.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have with photography, buoyancy control, computer diving, exploring wrecks and many more. Whichever you choose and with the guidance of your Instructor you will complete the course with a more in depth diving knowledge, much improved control and refined buoyancy skills.

There is a short section to read on each Adventure Dive you choose and a few knowledge review questions to complete. Apart from that the Advanced Open Water course is all diving !

Cyprus is an ideal location to satisfy all types of dives available from the course. You will visit at least 3 to 4 different dive sites on the course and can choose from a range of shore or boat dives.

From a number of excellent dive sites for Navigation and Night diving to the world famous Zenobia wreck, where we suggest you complete the course with the Deep and Wreck adventure dives, there are dives to suit all tastes and experience levels.
